My first attempt at travel blogging for all my friends and family.
I am a living oxymoron: a Bohemian with a Puritan heart, a conservative trying to live an ecologically-sound lifestyle, an intellectual with the homemaking skills of a seasoned housewife, a single woman with a mile-wide maternal streak, a Christian with a commitment and calling to work in the secular nonprofit sphere, an artist and a scholar. I talk a lot and love being quiet. I travel far and wide and am committed to creating a home. I love the isolation of the country and live in downtown Chicago.
